Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist is based on a 2007 novel by the Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid, a quick read that dramatises some topical talking points in a cloying mock-pedantic style. She returns to somewhat familiar territory with The Reluctant Fundamentalist; an adaptation of Mohsin Hamid's book of the same name. Changez, a Princeton graduate from Pakistan, succeeds on Wall Street, thriving in his adopted city. Latest Lollywood offering The Reluctant Fundamentalist held its premiere in Lahore on 23rd May,2013. To Nair's credit, the film doesn't descend into a biased social critique of the Western world. The event was organized by Bilal Mukhtar and various famous stars and faces were spotted on the event which was held in Cinestar.
